Marta Miranda-Straub, poet and author (Cradled by Skeletons/Mecida por Esqueletos (Shadelandhouse Modern Press)), will be featured with artist and musician Lonnie Holley on Kentucky, USA, with host Ben Sollee, Kentucky-born cellist and composer, on April 8, 2020, at 8 pm in the Bomhard Theatre, The Kentucky Center.
According to Kentucky Performing Arts’ website, Kentucky, USA is a collaboration between Sollee and Kentucky Performing Arts “to launch a radio show…in front of a live audience.” The show “features talent from around Kentucky and further South” and is described as “a friendly place to swap stories, indulge in gossip, and hear music your friends would have told you about if they weren’t on their phones all the time.” Kentucky Performing Arts in collaboration with Louisville Public Media is presenting the event.
The program is open to all ages. Tickets are $20.00 // Student tickets are $10, available in person with ID and can be ordered here.
